Experience a Pathogenic Market First-Hand
And learn about how we can use Prevention Methods to ensure another COVID-like disease does not spread around the world

I live in Peru, a developing country. I have lived in many developing countries, so this story is not unique to this country.
COVID caused a lot of disease and disruption.
Rumor has it, that it was germinated in a Chinese market.
I have been wondering why the United Nations nor the World Health Organization have been taking Preventative Action so we do not have these problems again.
Pathogens spread easily around the world (AIDS did too). Pollution also spreads easily around the world (read about children in Pakistan not being able to go to school because of pollution by industries in India here).
I have created a video on YouTube to help bring awareness to the situation of pathogenic markets on the ground. This is an example of a market in a developing country (Peru). Perhaps some of you are not aware of what these markets look and feel like. So take a look:
The solution I propose is:
Have the UN and the WHO collaborate with the Giving Pledge Fund to provide free solar refrigerators to all of the developing countries, and educate them about refrigerating animal products, and separating them from the fruits and vegetables, produce, section so they do not acquire the pathogens.
Learn about the Giving Pledge. Read Thomas Piketty’s book. In 2023, the world’s richest 1% owned 47.5% of the world’s wealth, which is about $214 trillion. This is while the bottom 50% of the world’s population owns less than 2% of the world’s wealth. There is obviously money to ensure people do not ingest pathogens worldwide.
We live in One World. We must gain a New Consciousness. I propose:
Separation of meat markets from fruit and vegetable markets
The UN and WHO providing free solar refrigerators like this one by NASA, or another really efficient and reputable product, to all the developing countries.
Deploy a mission of adventuresome people as soon as possible to help these developing countries who are in need of education about pathogens, and in need of solar refrigeration products (or some other low-cost energy refrigeration method that is responsible and considerate about the environment and CO2 emissions).
Provide education about pathogens. Remember that it was not too long ago that we discovered germs actually were real and existed. They are invisible to the human eye. We needed to invent microscopes to actually see them.
Here is some history from Google AI about our learning about germs:
The idea that invisible “seeds of disease” or germs existed, though not fully understood, emerged as early as the 16th century, with Italian scholar Girolamo Fracastoro writing about them in 1546. However, the modern germ theory, linking specific microorganisms to specific diseases, gained traction in the mid to late 19th century, with key figures like Louis Pasteur, Robert Koch, and Joseph Lister making pivotal discoveries.
Here’s a more detailed look at the history:
Early Ideas (16th Century):
In 1546, Italian scholar Girolamo Fracastoro wrote a treatise on germ theory, suggesting that invisible “seeds of disease” existed and were transmitted between people.
Microscopes and Early Observations (17th Century):
The invention of the microscope in the 17th century allowed scientists to explore the unseen world, and scientists like Robert Hooke and Antoni van Leeuwenhoek described microorganisms using primitive microscopes.
Antoni van Leeuwenhoek is credited with the discovery of bacteria in 1676, though he called them “animalcules”.
The Rise of Germ Theory (Mid to Late 19th Century):
Louis Pasteur: In the mid-1800s, French chemist Louis Pasteur demonstrated that fermentation and putrefaction are caused by organisms in the air, leading to the development of modern germ theory.
Robert Koch: In the 1880s, German physician Robert Koch identified the organisms that cause tuberculosis and cholera, further solidifying the germ theory. — Google AI
So it is clear now to us who are educated that we must refrigerate meat, otherwise they spread germs. That is smart.
However,
Why has there been no effort at Prevention of another COVID, or some other pathogenic disease spread around the world? Where is World Leadership? Where is Common Sense?
We need to educate the developing countries about germs and pathogens. We need to support them in providing free solar refrigerators. They are in dire poverty. The 1–10% have plenty of money to help in this noble effort.
I also was in the Peace Corps. There are a lot of adventuresome people out there that we could deploy on a mission to these developing countries around the world to do educational sessions about pathogens, separating meat from produce in markets, and providing the free solar (or some renewable energy, energy efficient refrigerators).
It’s an idea. You can feel free to build it on it. Question it. Collaborate with it. Ponder it.
Who can help? Does anybody else have another solution that is more logical and sensible than the one I propose? This is a global effort that needs to happen as soon as possible!
